宮崎駿はデジタルやネットに背を向けていると言われていますが、あまり大きな声では言えないんですが、宮崎駿は実は携帯を持っているんですよ。彼に慣れさせようと秘密で買って持たせたんですが、僕の前では使ってない。「緊急の場合しか使ってない」と言うんですが、会社で買ってるんで、記録がね（笑）。かなりの頻度で使ってますね（笑）。

　本当に偶然ですが、その携帯はauです。あまり複雑なのは使えないだろうと簡単な機種にしたんですが、1年後にこの機種がなくなることが分かり、どうしようかなと。1年後使えなくなるといじめとしては最高ですが（笑）。そこで「宮さん」と言ったら「俺は使ってないよ」と聞いてもいないのに言うんですよ。で、その携帯は機種変更しなきゃならないと言ったら「じゃ、いま持ってくる」っていってすぐ渡してくれるたんですよ（笑）。現代を避けて生きることはできないんだなと思っております。
